Venue Highlights
The Century Theatre can be used for orchestra's, live theatre, and conference's to name a few options. It seats 330 in a tiered style where patron's look down on the stage. The acoustic's in the theatre are outstanding due to the design and rimu panel's.
We have two other area's that can be used for function/conference events. One is the Founders' Room that can hold 200 standing and the other is the museum galleries which are dependent on the current exhibition timetable.
Location
We can be located near the city center. There are two entrance's, one from the Marine Parade and the other from Herschell Street.
Catering Information
We can provide catering for all events upon request.
Recreational Facilities
The Hawke's Bay Museum is also a part of our organisation which is why we can hire gallery space out to client's.
Additional Information
When the Theatre is not in use, it is used as a Cinema. We ultimately show quality art house movie's.
