Venue Highlights

The Paddington Town Hall was designed in a Municipal Rennaissance style exhibiting typical Victorian grandeur. The Govenor of NSW, Lord Jersey opened the Hall in 1891.

The site for the Paddington Town Hall is adjacent to the Victoria Barracks and was built on top of the ridge to allow the tower to dominate the surrounding neighbourhood. Paddington is still one of the most intact Victorian residential precincts in the world.

This landmark venue boasts a magnificent Grand Hall and an elegant pre-function bar and consists of charming balconies with views of the city skyline and the Paddington district.

The venue features a gracious entrance, an expanse of polished floors and 9 metre high ceilings ideal for large scale dinners, Weddings, exhibtions and conferences.

Catering Information

Paddington Town Hall maintains an Open Catering Policy to a Gold Licensed Caterers registered with Restaurant and Catering NSW. A list of Sydney Metropolitan Gold Licensed Caterers can be downloaded from www.rcnsw.asn.au

The Caterer will be required to pay a kitchen bond at the time of the event confirmation. The refund of the bond is in accordance with clause five of the Terms and Conditions of Hire. A commission on caterer's fees will be charged to the selected caterer. Catering commission is charged in addition to the venue hire and reflects the costs associated with the use, maintenance and upkeep of kitchen and bar equipment.

Behind the fascinating facade of Paddington Town Hall is a modern, well-equipped venue, with a seco stage, basic sound and lighting infrastructure. If you require additional facilities or equipment, these can be arranged with your preferred supplier.
