Location

A private island, Hayman is the most northerly in the Whitsunday Passage, nestled in the Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of North Queensland.

The Hayman experience begins as most guests arrive at Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island). Greeted by Hayman staff and a glass of sparkling wine, guests board the luxury resort launch for a 55-minute scenic cruise traversing the Whitsunday Passage to Hayman. With rooms registration taking place on board, the arrival procedure is seamless and a memorable start to any event. Alternatively helicopters and seaplanes provide a scenic 15 minute transfer.

Hayman is the closest island in the Whitsundays to the Outer Barrier Reef.

Accommodation

Hayman offers 212 beautifully appointed rooms, suites, penthouses and a villa, situated in Pool, Lagoon, Retreat and Beach Wings, all featuring private terraces or balconies.

Ideal for conference and incentive groups, the Pool Wing, comprising Pool Rooms, Pool Access, Pool Deluxe and Pool Suites, overlooks the famous Hayman Pool and tropical gardens. Level 3 also offers views out to the Coral Sea and neighbouring Hook Island.

For groups requiring larger rooms and suites than those in the Pool Wing, the Lagoon Wing, comprising Lagoon Rooms, Lagoon Deluxe, Lagoon Suites and Penthouses, overlooks the tranquil lagoon, tropical gardens and Lagoon Pool. With some rooms offering views out to the Coral Sea and neighbouring Hook Island.

Catering Information

All venues on Hayman, including restaurants and meeting rooms, plus more than 30 outdoor resort settings and luxury launches are available for private functions. With a brigade of some 50 Australian and international Chefs, all menus are designed by our master Chefs specifically for your event.

From a themed ball in The Entertainment Centre, to the Hayman Street Market, Sunset Beach Party, Formal Garden dinner, Hayman Pool Extravaganza or the Chef's Table (a fabulous banquet set in the Main Kitchen) or dining at leisure in one of the resort's four international restaurants, the choices are unlimited.

Fireworks, entertainment and specialised theming can be arranged to complement the event for an individual touch of magic and impact.

Recreational Facilities

Adventure, indulgence and relaxation are all part of a Hayman experience. Hayman offers swimming in salt water and freshwater pools or the Whitsunday waters, plus sailing including regattas, windsurfing, paddle skiing, waterskiing, speedboat transfers to nearby beaches, bushwalking and exploring, snorkelling, fishing, PADI diving, Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach cruises, tennis, table tennis, golf driving and putting, squash, a gymnasium, volleyball, basketball, Spa Hayman, retail arcade, seaplane and helicopter adventures, behind the scenes kitchen tours, self guided garden and art tours, cooking demonstrations, wine appreciation classes and a children's club and crèche. An array of private group activities and options can be arranged as part of any event program

Technical Facilities

Stagelife are based on Hayman providing professional and state of the art technical support. Broadband is available in all conference rooms and wireless internet facilities are located throughout the island.

Business Facilities

With four meeting rooms, Hayman's meeting facilities are ideal for a small board meeting for up to 12 to conferencing for up to 300, with a diversity of indoor and outdoor breakout and meeting locations including luxury cruisers for a unique boardroom or breakout setting.

Hayman boasts many spectacular natural settings and restaurant options for dinners - Five restaurants and over 30 outdoor dining locations including pools, beaches, formal and tropical gardens and cruises, provide an array of special dining experiences.
Specialised theming can also enhance any of these settings.

One of the dedicated Hayman Events team will assist with putting together a program featuring all meeting, dining and activity requirements.
